Causes of Vaginal Dryness and Natural Remedy

One of the most inconvenient and embarrassing sexual disorders a woman faces is vaginal dryness. It is not uncommon to see about 80% women facing this problem during their menopausal phase. Vaginal dryness can also be noticed in cases much earlier than menopause. This is what raises the concern for many. Sexual becomes painful and very inconvenient for both of the partners when a woman suffers from this disorder.

Most of the times the dryness in women is found due to hormonal imbalance and many remedies and cures are aimed at balancing the hormones. When we look deeper into what causes the dryness, we are able to find many causes of vaginal dryness. Let us have a brief look on the common causes.

It is natural for women to take more time to get lubrication as they age, and the frequency of intercourse is also important for proper lubrication.

Vaginal mucosa is more sensitive to estrogen levels' fluctuation in the body. When the estrogen level is maintained properly, the lubrication will be good too.

Some types of drugs also found responsible for the dryness. Many drugs, such as thaizides, tranquilizers, nicotine, narcotics, alcohol and sedatives are among the list that lowers the lubrication.

Many women who smoke also suffer from vaginal dryness. Once they quit smoking, the situation starts to improve.

Those women, who suffer from pelvic pain during and tightness of vagina, do not get the required amount of lubrication. The reason is obvious, the fear of pain if they have .

If a woman is having after a long time, or used to have infrequent , usually suffer from the dryness. In such a case, if the male partner applies good foreplay techniques and for longer period, the lubrication will return to normal after some time. They need more stimulation and time to get the lubrication.

Lack of libido also works negatively on lubrication. Due to less or no interest in the act, the arousal state will be badly affected, and when there is no or less arousal, the vagina fails to get enough lubrication.

Frustration due to the failure of the male partner also leads a woman to lose the amount of lubrication. When the male fails due to dysfunction, like premature ejaculation or other impotence problems, the woman loses interest in the act, and this causes lower state of arousal.

Women face dryness problem soon after the childbirth. In their lactation period, women also lose the lubrication due to the imbalance in estrogen levels. Once they finish this period, dryness also disappears.

Spinal cord injuries or neurological diseases also affect a woman to lose the lubrication entirely. In such cases, supplemental lubrication sources can solve the problem.

Some other sources are also found responsible for a woman to suffer from vaginal dryness, such as spermicidal jellies, medicated douches, and latex condoms, because they cause irritation in that region. These cases can become normal once the triggering factors are removed. Changing condom brand can also solve the problem.

Another common reason of vaginal dryness is excessive levels of estrogen due to anxiety, higher stress level, and ovarian failure.
